The Smith Family’s farming operation has shifted away from tobacco production the past several years. Many tobacco farmers have done the same thing. But the Smith’s have built a retail brand for their strawberry farm and products just outside of Pink Hill, North Carolina. I paid them a visit during strawberry season for UNC-TV’s North Carolina Now program.
